 Book Review
The Kingdom Keeper's: Disney at Dark
by Ridley Pearson         Mar08

Review by Dionne Riley, Papillion Nebraska

This book takes place in the magic kingdom in Disney world. Five kids are called to save the magic kingdom from the evil villain, Maleficent. They run into all kinds of trouble when the characters from the rides come to life at night after the park closes.
This book is jam packed with action and imagination, any more and I am pretty sure the characters themselves would pop out of the pages of the book.(though it already seems they do). It only took me about three days to read the book, I was hooked on it from page one. It's one of those books that keeps you wondering "what is going to happen next" In some places it seems the characters are stuck in a real pickle, and you wonder how in the world they are going to get out. The air of mystery gives the book that edge. And of course no thriller would be complete without an evil character like Maleficent. She is always up to no good and is trying her best to be completely evil and horrible.
Though the first few pages of the book is a little confusing, once you hit about page five, it suddenly clicks and its one of those "ah ha" moments.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure and suspense, and if you don't try it out anyway, the author has a way of getting you hooked and reeling you into the book, sort of like how the five kids got reeled into the book's problem, and they were the only ones who could fix it.
I would also recommend this book to people who have been to Disney world, Magic kingdom in particular. I got the book in Disney world and read it while I was there. While going on "Its a small world" ride I half expected all the dolls to come to life. It really makes the reader feel like they are connected to the book. In the book they talk about some of the rides, it made me feel awesome that I was there and had been on that ride. Even if you haven't been to Disney world, the book would still make sense, you don't need to have been there to experience the magic of The kingdom Keeper's: Disney at dark.
And if you liked that book the second one comes out soon, The kingdom keeper's: Disney at Dawn.
