Teenage Love by Alys Ame Mar 2003 Jamie sighed, put down the receiver, and started to cry. She had just gotten off the phone with her boyfriend, Kevin, well now her ex boyfriend. Laying her head down on her desk she started to wonder what went wrong. Just last night he had called her, he seemed so happy having just beaten another level on his new PS2 game. They talked for hours about nothing really important. As the call ended Jamie whispered the words I love you. She promised herself she would never say those three words to anyone. Because she witnessed first hand from her parents' divorce that love does not last. And in the end someone always gets hurt. Tears slide down her cheeks she reached for a tissue she bumped a frame holding a photo of her and Kevin at the fair. He had his arm around her and her head was on his shoulder. Jamie furious with herself and Kevin for dumping her. She picked up the frame and chucked it at the ground. Glass flew every where. Grabbing the photo, that had somehow managed to stay in the frame along with a few slivers of glass, she ripped it in two. Then took her lighter and lit the halve of the photo with Kevin on it on fire. There was a loud bang at her door and her brother marched in demanding to know what was going on. Jamie, sitting on the floor getting cut from the glass, looked at him in disgust. How could he expect her to explain what was wrong and she bet he did not really even care. So Jamie started to scream "YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND" while getting up to close her door cried "I hate being a teenager, I want to die!" email the author of this story main / photos / jokes / stories / health / books / opinion / submissions / links / awards / e-mail to editor
