In the past year I have gone through so much,
Including becoming friends with you.
I also went through something I didn't think I could overcome,
But I did and still am,
With your help.
When memories are triggered,
It doesn't hurt as bad knowing I have a friend who truly care.
You have always been there when it hurts the most.
As I think about our memories,
I just wish I could take back those days,
I tried to end our friendship.
At the time I thought you would be better off without me,
But I was wrong.
I believed I was being selfish by making you deal with me,
When in fact I was being selfish by making you deal with out me.
You are my only friend,
Who will be a friend no matter,
How bad my life gets.
Why I never thought about that before I will never know,
But I want you to know I am so very sorry.
I don't know where I would be without you,
But what I do know is I can't live without my best friend by my side.
So whenever we are fighting,
You have had a bad day,
Or just because you feel like it,
I want you to pull this out,
And read it.
That way even when we are in the worst of fights,
We will never forget how much care about each other.
